Memorial / Celebration of Life Planning
An increasing number of people are choosing to opt for a ‘direct cremation’ after their death, or the death of a loved one.
However, many are finding they still feel the need for some kind of get-together, send-off, formal goodbye or even a traditional memorial service. They are looking for an opportunity to share the grief, tell a few stories and reflect on a life lived and a friend/loved one lost.
Direct Cremation . . . What Next?
A ‘Direct’ or ‘No Fuss’ cremation, followed by something special afterwards, can give much greater opportunities for creating unique and personal celebrations.
However, with this ‘No Rules’ approach, there can be a lot to think about:
venue/location, ideas for catering
music & readings, formal eulogies or informal storytelling & who will speak
who’s going to link everything together and make the occasion flow
flowers and photo slideshows
how to add personal / finishing touches
saying a formal goodbye at the end
